Once we have laid our mulch everywhere, and covered all the cardboard we have a few missions to get to!

Banana babies are ready to seperate off and be potted up and put into the greenhouse until spring time 🍌🌴

Move all the top layers from the compost bays over to one side,
Lay composting enzymes over them to speed up the breakdown, and collect the compost left behind to lay around our maara kai.

Fertilize all gardens w/ poopoo tea 🍡 πŸ’©πŸ€£ bet the kids love that one 🀣

The tamariki have already put some babies into the maara for winter

Mulching around the seedlings to help insulate the soil against the cold and hold down any weeds πŸ₯°

Its been a long time coming but our install is almost complete.. I just need a row of berry canes towards the back, and perhaps something small and picky, like blueberries or a guava tree - which i hope to put in before winter ends πŸ₯° that will be a whole job in itself as ill be digging them out of my home garden.

When i picked baby girl up from kohanga yesterday, the kids had been painting their nails and all showed me, so i showed them mine πŸ‘€πŸ€£

this was my first job for today, shes been a busy one ☺️ but very productive.

this time of year the weather can set me back 😩 and slowly but surely one days mahi bled into the next days..
by this morning I was feeling quite anxious so I set out today with the intentions of not being swayed or distracted, of being mindful of time and where I was putting it, and making sure I was maximizing the few precious hours a day i have to actually do paid mahi and keep my business, and my commu ity garden, and my kura gardens thriving, and now im sat for a ten minute break before heading off to get dinner for my whānau and spend my evening with my babies and my love πŸ’“

This little guy's absolutely loved the smell of our new hand lotion! ❀️ this product is made with neroli hydrosol, which is a by-product created when making essential oils from citrus blossoms! (No doubt what attracted him)

I designed this product originally for the awful dandruff that ive had my whole life, which had all of a sudden turned into something so monstrous I had to shave the back of my head.. (undercut has grown out so much FYI!)
