Mind the jump scare - Term 1 is already done!

If school holidays are interfering with your tranquil work from home vibes, or you have school holiday guests who need a space to work, allow us to offer some temporary respite.

Just email [email protected] and let us know when you would like to come in, and we'll get you sorted. A monitor, wifi, tea, coffee and aircon are included, and yes, you can take video meetings at your desk.

Quick reminder - take the lunch boxes out of the school bags this afternoon - because that makes a nasty surprise after two weeks!

Fish & Chips Friday had been in the calendar for a few weeks, but when the day turned out to be a stunner it was suggested we take lunch down the road, just 150 metres stroll to Seddon Street Park.

Best. Idea. Ever. Highly recommend Friday picnic lunch in the sunshine to start your weekend right!

Then back to Loom for a beer tasting flight to try the range from

Ah, the end of term three, when the children are so tired they are barely functioning!

Great that they now have two weeks to chill out at home - but not always great for your work-life balance, having to share your nice home workspace.

So.

- Need to escape your darlings for a bit to get some work done?

- Have out-of-town guests who plan to dump their kids with you ("It's so good for them to catch up with their cousins!" but they need somewhere to work?

We've got you sorted with our school holiday special. Just email [email protected] and let us know how many days you want, and we'll get you sorted.

Also, quick reminder to take the lunch boxes out of the school bags this afternoon. There is just something so special about crusts and apple peels that have been brewing in a lunch box for two weeks 🤢.

Lots of our Loominary families have gratefully received meals from Bellyful Franklin over the years, so we are thrilled to have such an easy way to give back.

We're collecting spaghetti (and lasagna sheets, macaroni and microwaveable rice), so you are welcome to drop by and pop some in the box as well.

You can also donate directly here https://fundraise.bellyful.org.nz/donate.

Bellyful NZ is a volunteer-led charity nourishing whānau and connecting communities by delivering free meals to families with babies and young children who are without a support network.

Happy Friday, and Happy Father's Day to all our lovely Loominary Dads this Sunday!

There absolutely is an exodus around 2:30 - 3 pm some days, but sometimes people come back with lovely kids in tow, who quietly take an empty desk and do their homework for a bit. Or they come back a few hours later, alone, and get another hour of work done during gymnastics or taekwondo or music lessons or football practice or tutoring!

This is a bit exciting - lots of our Little Loominaries (and big Loominaries too actually!) came into the world at Pukekohe Hospital and it is great to hear there is going to be some investment in a much needed upgrade.

Keep an eye out for the different ways you can get involved!

Let’s give back to a place that’s given so much!
For over 70 years, Pukekohe Hospital has been at the heart of our community. It’s where so many of us took our first breath, welcomed our children into the world, or visited loved ones during life’s most important moments. Almost every family in our community has a connection to this very special place.

But now the hospital, especially its birthing units, is showing its age. The facilities are tired, outdated, and in urgent need of an upgrade.

We are proud to be partnering with the Middlemore Foundation to raise funds for the much-needed renovation. Every donation brings us one step closer to giving local mums, babies, and families the care they deserve at one of life’s most special and vulnerable moments.

💜 How Can You Help? 💜

Over the coming months, we will be running a range of fundraising initiatives, and we would love for our wonderful clients, friends, family, and community to get behind them.
