Our client, Malan Limited, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team in Port Moresby.
Malan Limited is a diversified PNG business with interests across property, hospitality, and aviation. Its flagship company, Pacific Helicopters PNG, is a leading helicopter service provider supporting the oil, gas, mining, construction, and telecommunications sectors across the Asia Pacific. With over 50 years of operational excellence, the organisation is known for its strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and international standards.
🔍 About the Role
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing complex accounting functions, ensuring compliance, delivering accurate financial reporting, and supporting overall financial health. This position also provides leadership to accounting staff and contributes to strategic financial decision-making.
💼 Key Responsibilities Include:
• Financial reporting, analysis, and reconciliation
• Supporting internal and external audits
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Ensuring compliance with IFRS/GAAP and statutory requirements
• Cash flow and payroll management
• Leading and mentoring accounting staff
• Driving process improvements and efficiencies
🎓 What We’re Looking For:
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years’ experience in a senior accounting/finance role
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, audits, and compliance
• Experience with accounting systems (e.g., Xero/ERP) and Excel
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
