This UK team consists of a nurse, and two doctors. One doctor is a professor (Nephrologist). These UK kidney specialists visited PMGH during the week before the actual Kidney Transplant surgery occurred.
We can say that there was a team of surgeons present during surgery.
The external group of professionals are the Biomedical Engineers who are responsible for the installation and maintenance of Medical Equipments that these hospital specialists use for patient care. This is made possible by Meddent supplier under Brian Bell and CPL Group of companies.
“Many people both clinical and non clinical within the institution and outside the institution were involved to make this happen. The first Renal Transplant program in PNG, thank you this is unity in diversity.” Keno Temo
Foremost, to the creator of the human body God almighty who made us ‘fearfully and wonderfully’ so that it requires a team of highly specialized doctors, medical scientists, nurses, biomedical engineers and cooperate staff to work together as a team to achieve one goal at a time for the country PNG.
CONGRATULATIONS!
