When I first started writing and speaking about self-leadership in the late 90s, I thought I had invented the term, as I had to explain each time I used it.
Then I was contacted by Dr. Ana Lucia Kazan, who introduced me to Charles Manz's work and the assessment tool developed by Neck and Houghton.
Anna and I did our own research, sharpened the definition, and published Self Leadership (McGraw-Hill, 2012), which has now been cited in over 200 research papers.
Over the past 25+ years, across 40 countries, I have used self-leadership as the foundation of my senior leadership coaching and keynote speeches. The results have been phenomenal, and my clients have included complex multinationals and disruptive Silicon Valley Startups.
These results have made the term self-leadership popular, but not everyone understands the underlying philosophy and framework, leading to variable results.
If you are a leader, coach, facilitator, or HR professional responsible for developing increased ownership, accountability, and capabilities in people, I have just launched a program to share my methodology and models.
I am looking for just a few people to be part of the founders cohort, which will be conducted online over 12 weeks.
