We’re proud to celebrate Hamidah Aidillah Mustafa, 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 & 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐀𝐒𝐌𝐄, on being recognised with the 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 & 𝗙𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝘆 Tatler Asia.

For almost two decades, Hamidah has been championing cervical cancer and HPV prevention, while advocating for greater awareness around women’s sexual health.

Her commitment began nearly 19 years ago, after meeting a young cervical cancer patient with young children. The experience stayed with her and became a lifelong commitment to helping women better understand prevention, screening and early detection.

Today, that work continues to make a tangible difference.

Over the past 18 months, more than 𝟰𝟬𝟬 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 have benefited from her promotion of the HPV Simple test. She has also helped bring testing into grassroots communities and trained more than 𝟮𝟬 𝗳𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 to support women and girls through the process.

Beyond screening, Hamidah has also worked on an HPV Toolkit to make information about HPV and cervical cancer more accessible, helping women understand the myths, know the facts and learn where to seek help.

Her advocacy is ultimately about something simple but powerful: 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵.

As Hamidah puts it, “early prevention, detection and regular screening saves lives.”

Our ASME Vice Presidents, Hamidah Aidillah (Communications & Policy) and Winston Chan (Internationalisation), attended the IP for Growth Awards (IPGA) Ceremony and Singapore IP Week 2026 Welcome Reception on 25 August.

The IPGA recognises enterprises and young innovators that use intangible assets and intellectual property (IP) strategically, while Singapore IP Week brings together IP thought leaders, legal experts and innovative enterprises to explore emerging IP trends and developments.

For SMEs, IP can play an important role in supporting growth across borders. As businesses enter new markets, having the right IP strategies in place can help protect their ideas, strengthen their brands and unlock value from their intangible assets.

Through the WIPO IP Business Center @ ASME, a partnership between WIPO and ASME supported by IPOS, we are making IP knowledge, advisory support and global resources more accessible to SMEs as they explore new markets and opportunities.

As part of our efforts to support SME internationalisation, ASME will continue to connect businesses with the knowledge, resources and networks they need to grow confidently beyond Singapore.

Ravenry has recently partnered with Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA) to conduct a study to understand employer perspectives on the adoption of independent workforce in Singapore. Ravenry is organising an event on 31 August 2026 to share more of the study’s key findings with employers and ecosystem partners.

Given the relevance of the study findings and event agenda, we would like to extend an 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 for you to join us at the event.
