☀️ Summer Solstice 夏至 is the peak of Yang energy in the year - the longest day, the strongest sunlight, and the fullest outward Qi.
But in Feng Shui and Chinese metaphysics, when Yang reaches its extreme, Yin quietly begins to be born. This is the natural law of balance.
In 2026, Xia Zhi (夏至) falls on 21 June at 16:25, just 2 days after Duan Wu Festival (端午节) on 19th June. This close timing carries strong shifting energy, as the fiery and active Yang Qi of the season slowly begins its inward turning.
Just as noon slowly turns toward evening, the energy after Xia Zhi begins a gradual shift inward. It reminds us that life moves in cycles - fullness does not last forever, and change quietly begins even at the peak. 🌿
This is why Summer Solstice is often seen as a time to calm the mind, avoid excessive heat in emotions, and restore harmony within the home and heart.
