Our studio is growing!


Following a number of exciting new project wins across Asia, AFW is looking for a Designer to join our Singapore studio.


From hospitality and mixed-use developments to workplaces and large-scale masterplans, our work spans India, Vietnam, Africa, and beyond. We are looking for a Designer with strong leadership and presentation skills who enjoys working across scales and disciplines, engaging directly with clients and consultants, and helping shape projects from concept through delivery.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of celebrating a very special milestone – the 60th Birthday of AFW's Founder, Andy Fisher.

It was a wonderful surprise for a truly special person who has inspired so many of us through his vision, leadership, creativity, and unwavering passion for design over the years.

A big thank you to our team members and friends from across the region who joined the celebration via Zoom and helped make the occasion so memorable. We are also incredibly grateful to our clients, collaborators, and industry partners for the many birthday wishes and warm greetings that Andy received throughout the day.

Special thanks to Clarie Yeoh for putting together the fantastic birthday video that brought everyone together and made the celebration even more meaningful.

Designing for a Growing Hyderabad.

Hyderabad has emerged as one of India's most dynamic economic centres, fuelled by the continued expansion of its IT parks, technology campuses, and commercial districts. As businesses and talent continue to gravitate towards the city, demand for high-quality residential communities is growing alongside it.

Our latest high-end residential project in Hyderabad reflects this evolution, creating a contemporary living environment that responds not only to the aspirations of a modern urban lifestyle but also to the traditions and values that shape the local market.

An important consideration in residential planning across Hyderabad—and many parts of India—is the integration of Vastu Shastra principles. These considerations influence much more than the orientation of a home. They play a significant role in determining the planning of residences, the positioning of entrances, the organisation of the overall development, and even the placement of building services and MEP infrastructure.

Understanding these cultural and planning frameworks is essential to creating places that feel authentic to their context while meeting the expectations of today's residents.

Japan. China. The States. Singapore. Most people pick a place and stay. Lisa kept moving, and you can tell.

Half Japanese, half American, she brings her multicultural perspective to architecture. She holds a senior role across our hospitality and office projects in India, keeping design coherent from concept to the spaces people actually touch.

She mentors younger designers and is active in AIA Southeast Asia. She has a serious interest in whether the built environment actually works for the people in it—not as a talking point, but in how she approaches the work.

We are glad to have her at AFW.

Thrilled to share that Sofitel La Corniche has been recognized as the winner in the Hospitality Architecture category at the African International Design Awards!�

Set on a dramatic volcanic coastline with panoramic sea views, the project merges contemporary luxury with the rich cultural heritage of the Comoros. Centered around traditional courtyard spaces, the design draws from local vernacular while reflecting Sofitel's refined elegance. Elevated above a retail podium extending toward the shoreline, the development creates a unified coastal experience—each guest room captures uninterrupted ocean views.�
