We're Solving Plastic Pollution® through Infinitely Renewed Plastics™.

11/01/2026

It all starts with the right feedstock.

At Alterra, hard-to-recycle plastics serve as the starting point for our advanced recycling process. By converting these materials into valuable hydrocarbon products, we’re helping create new opportunities to keep plastics in circulation and support a more circular economy. ♻️

10/27/2026

At Alterra, our people are at the heart of everything we do. 💚

Every day, our team brings expertise, collaboration and a shared commitment to advancing innovative solutions for hard-to-recycle plastics.

We’re proud of the people who make our work possible and the impact we’re working toward together. ♻️🤝

10/24/2026

Investing in the next generation starts with connection. 🤝

Alterra was proud to participate in a local career exploration event, connecting with students to share insights into our industry, discuss career paths and offer a firsthand look at the opportunities available in advanced recycling.

Engaging with students and helping them explore their futures is one way we can support our community and inspire the next generation of innovators. 💚

10/21/2026

Community is an important part of what we do. 💚

From connecting with local students to supporting community initiatives, Alterra is proud to engage with the Akron community and help create opportunities for learning, collaboration and growth.

Together, we can help build a more sustainable future for Northeast Ohio.

10/14/2026

In the final step of the Alterra process, hydrocarbon vapors are condensed into a liquid that can be used as a building block for new plastics and other valuable products.

And that’s where the possibilities really begin. By transforming hard-to-recycle plastics into a reusable resource, we’re helping create new opportunities for materials that would otherwise be lost.

That’s advanced recycling in action. ♻️💪🏼

Safety is built into everything we do. 🤝

At Alterra, protecting our employees and maintaining a safe working environment is a responsibility we take seriously. From daily operations to ongoing monitoring and testing, safety remains at the forefront of how we operate.

Because when it comes to our people, there’s no room for compromise.

Proud to partner with the Akron Marathon once again! 🏃‍♀️♻️

This year, our team helped collect over 125 pounds of discarded plastic throughout the event, giving those materials an opportunity for a new life!

We’re grateful to be part of an event that continues to put sustainability into action. 💪

Alterra was proud to host Ross Eisenberg from the American Chemistry Council (ACC) for an opportunity to connect and discuss the important role innovation, policy and industry collaboration play in shaping the future of advanced recycling. ♻️

We’re always grateful for opportunities to bring industry leaders together, share ideas and continue important conversations around building a more circular future. 🤝

Connecting with the people and ideas shaping what’s next. 💪🏼

Alterra was proud to attend the 5th annual Polymer Cluster Connectivity Conference (PC3), bringing together leaders across Northeast Ohio’s polymer industry to celebrate progress, collaboration and future-forward innovation.

It was a great opportunity to connect with fellow industry leaders and be part of the conversation around the continued growth and innovation happening throughout our region. 💡♻️
