Fire Extinguished at Apple Valley Community Center
Apple Valley, MN โ On September 11, 2026, at approximately 3:23 p.m., the Apple Valley Fire Department responded to a fire at the Apple Valley Community Center, which has been closed for renovations since June 2026.
The call was received after someone at the Apple Valley Senior Center noticed smoke and fire coming from the roof of the Apple Valley Community Center and called 911. The Apple Valley Fire Marshal was the first to arrive at approximately 3:29 p.m.
The fire was located on the exterior of the building on the roof near the front of the Community Center. Firefighters brought the fire under control by approximately 3:48 p.m.
Construction crews had been working in the area earlier in the day but had left before the fire was reported. No one was in the affected area when the fire was discovered.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
