Nobody notices a bag until it fails, and it always fails at the worst hour.

A stem pops, drying out a whole elbow before a showing. The film sweats because breathability was never matched to the room. Or the bag is simply a size nobody should work with, so product is compressed to fit — and "compression" is just "friction" with extra fallout.

Quality doesn't disappear. It gets stolen - and there are four main thieves.

OXYGEN - works slowly and never stops. LIGHT - shifts color through anything clear. MOISTURE - punishes you in both directions. And FRICTION - the one nobody plans for... it takes a little every single time material moves between containers.

Cut one of our barrier bags in half and you're not looking at plastic. You're looking at a laminate — five separate films, each extruded for one job, bonded into something about as thick as a business card.

The outer layer takes the abuse. The tie layers stop delamination when a tote gets dragged across concrete. The seal layer is the only one that ever touches your flower. And the middle layer — the oxygen barrier — is why your December material still smells like October.

Most suppliers will quote you a thickness. Ask them about that layer count game.

We farmed for decades. So we knew what the bag was supposed to do, and we knew nobody was making it. So we made it — and then we made it for everyone else who'd spent a season reeling over months of blood, sweat, and tears that amounted to brown rubbish.

That's the whole company. Post-harvest supplies designed by the people who have to use them.

Every crew has a re-hydration trick, and most of them make the problem worse.

We have seen it all, from lettuce leaves to tortillas. Fruits and veggies, like the citrus peel, wet the outside, zap smell, and leave a flavor behind. The damp towel is free water sitting at room temperature overnight, which is the exact condition mold is waiting for... A humidity pack is an epic regulator, but are not necessarily a rescue or repair kit, if an over-dry occurs — it holds a level it was given, it doesn't rebuild one. Now, there are some new new on the market that may actually help regulate all the way through the "Kure" (spelling changed for your safety) process. We have had some farmers test these with great results.

That being said, the reality stays the same - The "Killer Kure" comes from staying ahead of the moisture exchange and not chasing it.

It's the question we often get, and the honest answer is: YES, but with very real cautions. The freezer isn't the part that decides the outcome.

Cold slows everything down — that's the whole appeal. What it also does is make material brittle and turn every surface into a condensation target the moment it comes back to room temperature. Open a cold bag in a warm room and you've just watered down your own harvest.
