Worth reading. I'm noticing an increasing number of toddlers aged 18-24 months exhibiting traits often linked with autism. However, these behaviors might not necessarily be autism-related but rather could be due to excessive screen time. Language development expands rapidly between 1½ to 3 years of age, and studies have shown that children learn language best when engaging and interacting with adults who are talking and playing with them face-to-face.

I often see kids in shopping carts or sitting at dinner tables staring at smartphones or tablets. They will not learn about the world around them if all they’re doing is looking at a smartphone. This will not just affect their ability to learn new things, but also how they interact with others and how language develops.
