Landscape lighting in Atlanta done right isn’t fast. This crepe myrtle took hours to wrap, branch by branch, from the base of the trunk up through every limb the canopy could carry.
Three things separate a real tree wrap from the spray-and-go version most installers do:
Density. Every branch gets lights, not just the perimeter the eye reads first.
Direction. The wrap moves up the trunk and out along each branch.
Restraint at the top. The canopy thins naturally, and the lights should too. Otherwise the tree reads cartoonish instead of magical.
The result is what you saw on the second half of this video. The tree looks like it’s lit from inside.
