👉👉👉 County Recyclers and recycling volunteers have been busy!!! Over the past 8 months, 75.6 Tons of recyclables were shipped from Bandera County! 👏 That's 151,200 pounds that will NOT go to the landfill.👍 All items collected at our facilities (Mansfield, Lakehills) are 100% recycled into plastic drink bottles, aluminum cans and cardboard boxes! ♻️📦♻️

A special "Thank You" to Girl Scout Troop 5140 for their awesome volunteer work at the recycling site on Saturday! 💚♻️

The troop worked tirelessly all Saturday morning...greeting customers, sorting materials, and helping load the balers. 🙌

Their hard work, enthusiasm, and upbeat energy were truly appreciated! 🙏💚

👏👏👏 Hip-Hip-Hooray!!! 💥🤩💥 Another load of recycled materials has been loaded and shipped from Bandera County!

This week, county crew and recycling volunteers sent 19.5 TONS of plastics, aluminum and cardboard to a materials recovery facility (MRF) in San Antonio operated by Waste Management Services 🥳 🥳 🥳

Everything in the shipment will be 100% recycled !Awesome job, Bandera County residents! ♻️👍♻️

Over the past 10 months, the county has recycled 69.5 TONS of materials that will not go to the landfill! 👏👏👏

👉💥👉💥👉 Check out the recycling equipment we've recently purchased thanks to the generous support of the Bandera Electric Cooperative Foundation Members Choice donation!!! The equipment includes collection bin and racks, storage cabinet, cutting tables for sizing extra large cardboard and cooling fans for our hardworking volunteers 🥵 Thank you BEC, recycling residents of Bandera and all of our volunteers for helping Don’t Make Waste Bandera/Bandera Recycles make a lasting impact! 🙏 We're grateful for this support and for the investment in our mission for a cleaner, more sustainable community. 💚♻️💚

It's a very informative quick tutorial on recycling in the United States. If you're not sure what Bandera Recycles accepts at their recycling facility (Mansfield) and recycling trailer (Lakehills), we accept 4 items: #1 PETE plastic bottles, Aluminum drink cans, corrugated cardboard and #2 HDPE milk jugs. Remember: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle! 💚♻️💚

🥳💥🤩💥Whoop! Whoop! Bandera Recycles volunteers and the county just sent off 16 tons of cardboard to an Oklahoma paper processing mill! 👏👏👏 The cardboard will be recycled into new cardboard boxes! 📦 By recycling 16 tons of cardboard, county residents have saved 272 trees🎄🎄🎄Thanks everyone!♻️💚♻️

Bandera Recycles is open every Saturday at both the central facility (next to Mansfield Park) and at the Lakehills site. Items accepted include: aluminum drink cans, corrugated cardboard, #1 PETE bottles and #2 HDPE milk jugs. Volunteers ask that all cans, bottles and jugs be rinsed. And no caps, please! There is no charge for recycling ♻️👍♻️
