About the Role
SafetyPro Resources is seeking an experienced Safety Consultant to join our team in the greater Baton Rouge, LA area. This is a permanent, full-time position. As a Safety Consultant, you’ll partner directly with clients to build, manage, and strengthen their occupational health and safety programs across a range of industries.
What You’ll Do
• Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients on day-to-day safety matters
• Conduct safety audits and on-site inspections
• Develop and deliver occupational health and safety training
• Write and refine safety policies and procedures
• Manage online qualification programs (ISNetworld, Avetta, and similar platforms)
• Oversee customer projects from start to finish
• Investigate incidents and support claims management
• Guide clients through regulatory compliance inspections (OSHA, MSHA, DOT, EPA, and others)
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or a related field (preferred)
• Relevant certifications such as CHST, CSST, or COSS (recommended); GSP, ASP, or CSP (preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction or general industry
• Experience in commercial building construction — general and/or trade contracting (preferred)
• Working knowledge of OSHA 1926 and 1910 regulations
• Proven experience developing and presenting safety training
• Experience with ISNetworld, Avetta, and other qualification programs (preferred)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (bilingual Spanish a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
