Franklin Associates and The Executive Center are excited to announce the 5th annual Taste of Mid City festival!

Taste of Mid City is Franklin's annual philanthropic food festival featuring samples from Mid City restaurants and a day of family fun and entertainment. Taste of Mid City is Franklin's way of giving back to the Mid City area. All proceeds will benefit our beneficiary, who'll be announced soon. This year's edition will be on April 11th, 2027.

We're looking forward to seeing you.

Franklin is proud to have served as the LITACorp Technical Assistance Provider. LITACorp was established to help rural and economically distressed communities apply for federal grants funded through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA).

As the LITACorp program comes to a close, the grant development and grant writing technical assistance provided by Franklin through LITACorp has resulted in $18,240,334 for 19 different local governments. An additional $100 million dollars in potential funding is pending award announcements for 21 grant applications.

Franklin is capable of providing grant writing and grant management services for local, state, and federal housing, infrastructure, and economic development grant and loan programs.

Franklin Associates was proud to facilitate the groundbreaking ceremony of MOVEBR's Nicholson Segment 1 Project yesterday!

This event celebrated the launch of transformational work that will improve safety, mobility and connectivity along one of Baton Rouge's busiest transportation corridors. The project widens Nicholson Dr. from two to four lanes and creates a shared use path for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as creating new U-turn lanes, bulb-outs and a median.

Franklin looks forward to continuing to support this MOVEBR program that helps ensure this corridor serves the community well for decades to come.

This week, Vice President of Management Services Portia Johnson and Senior Project Manager Emily Harris-Shears are attending the U.S. Housing Community Development Conference & Expo where they are engaging in insightful dialogue with the nation's leading housing and community development experts. They will take these lessons learned in development and financing to preserve and broaden access to affordable and attainable housing to continue putting people first.

Senior Project Manager Emily Harris-Shears shared her subject matter expertise at the 2026 NeighborWorks Montana conference, presenting a collaborative blueprint designed for Montana’s diverse communities—from rural areas to resort-driven economies. The session explored strategies for integrating inclusive design, fair housing compliance, accessibility standards, and funding opportunities to support mixed-income and workforce housing development. Franklin Associates is proud to support conversations focused on creating resilient, sustainable, and people-centered housing solutions for communities of all sizes.

Reflecting on the groundbreaking of the I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge Project that took place last week, Franklin Associates was proud to help bring together community leaders, project partners, and residents to mark the beginning of this historic investment in Southwest Louisiana. Guided by our commitment to putting people first, our team was honored to facilitate an event centered not just on infrastructure, but on the communities, families, and future generations this project will serve.

As one of Louisiana’s largest transportation infrastructure investments and a landmark public-private partnership (P3) project, the new bridge and corridor improvements will enhance safety, mobility, and economic connectivity along one of the Gulf South’s most critical transportation corridors.
