Most people know Amigo for their personal mobility carts, but that's just one piece of the story.
This Bridgeport, Michigan manufacturer also builds accessibility solutions for grocery and retail, electric material handling vehicles for manufacturing and warehouses, and AeroTow aircraft tugs for aviation. Every product is designed, engineered, built, and supported under one roof.
The company's roots go back to 1968, when founder Al Thieme built the first Amigo cart to help a family member diagnosed with multiple sclerosis maintain her independence. That single act of compassion became a company that's helped thousands of people regain independence over nearly 60 years.
"Helping people has always come first, and everything else has grown from there."
On being part of the Mid-Michigan manufacturing community, Amigo shared: organizations like M3A give companies the chance to learn from each other, share ideas, and tackle shared challenges together, whether that's workforce development, new technology, or simply building relationships.
We are proud to have Amigo Mobility as part of the M3A community. Learn more about their story at amigomobility.com.
