It's that Bleedingham time of year. I'm kinda backseating this year to keep an eye on health concerns. Still busy though but returning to my paranormal roots. Should they have need of me I'm there but I'm Trusting The Process this year.

Facebook work-at-home assembly and craft jobs (such as assembling pens, jewelry, or sewing items) are almost universally scams.

How the Scam Works

• The Pitch: Ads promise easy money—often $100 to $500 a day—working from your kitchen table to put together crafts or small products.
• Upfront Fees: You are asked to pay for "starter kits," "materials," "certifications," or "registration fees" before you can start.
• Communication Shift: Scammers quickly move the conversation off Facebook to encrypted apps like WhatsApp or Telegram.
• The Outcome: Once you pay for the kit or send personal data, the "employer" either vanishes, sends useless materials, or refuses to pay you for the finished items.

Major Red Flags

• Paying to work: Legitimate employers never charge you to get a job or buy their equipment.
• Unrealistic pay: Claims of high daily or monthly income for basic, low-skill manual tasks (like assembling pens or earrings) that factories automate.
• Fake check/overpayment tricks: Sending you a check, telling you it cleared, and asking you to wire part of the money back or buy gift cards.
• Vague company info: No official corporate website, no physical address, or using free email accounts (like Gmail) instead of a company domain.

How to Protect Yourself

• Search the company or poster name online alongside words like "scam," "review," or "complaint".
• Report and block suspicious job postings directly inside Facebook.
• Never share your Social Security number, bank routing numbers, or credit card details for a remote assembly job.
• Cut and past this is a slap to the back of the heads of any you find online. Facebook isn't screening for these fools, they're rampant.
