Prior to becoming owners of SERVPRO of Bend and SERVPRO of N. Deschutes, Jefferson & Crook County, Brooks and Stew served together in the United States Marine Corps. Brooks spent 20 years in the Marine Corps as an Infantry Officer, with multiple deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan, leading Marines in combat during four tours. His awards include the Bronze star with Valor and two Purple Hearts.
He crossed paths with Stew in Afghanistan, who served four years in the Corps as a Combat Engineer Officer, after which he received his MBA from Emory University in Atlanta before moving to Central Oregon. In 2019, they reconnected in Central Oregon and started a business partnership, first venturing into property management and then purchasing your local SERVPRO franchise in 2022.
