Our latest Experiment Series release is
the 2023 Syrah. 2023 ran hot -
- a long,
demanding harvest that left us with less
fruit than usual, but fruit that had worked
harder for its color and concentration.
You can taste that effort in the glass.
Earthy and dense, with olive and
something savory-meaty running
underneath, white pepper lifting through
the middle. The tannins are silky rather
than gripping - aged in neutral oak, so
what you’re getting is the vintage itself,
nothing smoothed over by wood.
Four barrels only. A wine that tells you
plainly what kind of year it was.
