Today, we take a moment to honor and remember two remarkable leaders, Theodore E. “Ted” Webster Sr. and Brooke E. Woodson, whose dedication to advocacy, equity, and economic opportunity left a lasting impact on Boston's communities and construction industry.

Throughout their careers, both men worked tirelessly to break down barriers, uplift underserved communities, and create meaningful opportunities for minority-owned businesses and diverse workforces. Their leadership helped pave the way for generations to come.

As we reflect on their lives and contributions, we are reminded that their legacies live on through the doors they opened, the lives they touched, and the opportunities they created. We extend our heartfelt condolences to their families, friends, and all those whose lives they impacted. Their contributions will never be forgotten.

IOB is proud to have participated in the AGC MA Workforce in Construction Workshop, bringing industry partners together to discuss the workforce and compliance challenges faced across Massachusetts’ construction industry.

We had the opportunity to collaborate and lead discussions through interactive, real-world project scenarios covering Workforce Development, Prevailing Wage, and UBE Procurement. Connecting requirements and best practices to situations teams may encounter on everyday projects.

Last week, InOrder Business was proud to host three ACE externs as part of their four-week exploration of career opportunities across the construction industry, and even prouder to celebrate with them at their graduation!

During their week with IOB, the students gained hands-on exposure to the connection between construction and community impact. Their experience included public speaking and presentation development, a tour of the White Stadium redevelopment, an exploration of Boston’s West End and its history, and a visit to the Bunker Hill Housing Redevelopment to see firsthand how major projects evolve with community involvement. At graduation, the externs presented their capstone projects, reflecting on the people, places, and many moving pieces that bring construction projects to life.

We’re grateful for our continued partnership with Mass General Hospital and for the collaboration with Turner Construction in creating meaningful opportunities that introduce the next generation to careers in construction and the communities these projects serve.

It was great to be back at the White Stadium Redevelopment project and see the incredible progress taking shape. Every site visit is an opportunity to connect with the skilled tradespeople whose hard work is bringing this transformational community project to life.

A special thank you to our InOrder team members, Rolanda and Dakota, for capturing these great moments during the visit. We appreciate everyone on site for their continued dedication and craftsmanship, and we look forward to watching this project continue to progress toward completion. White Stadium will be a tremendous asset to the community for generations to come.

Last Thursday, we had the pleasure of hosting InOrder’s 6th Annual Summer Soirée, bringing together friends, partners, and colleagues from across the industry for an evening of great conversation and connection.

In the midst of busy projects and demanding schedules, it's important to pause and remember that the work we do is never accomplished alone. Every successful project is built on collaboration, trust, and the relationships we've formed throughout our community. We are incredibly grateful to work alongside so many organizations and individuals who share our commitment to creating opportunities and making a positive impact.
