Location: Jackson Metro Area
Position Type: Part-Time and Full-Time
Shifts Available:
Overnight (12-hour shifts)
Overnight Weekend (8-hour shifts)
Weekend (6-hour and 8-hour shifts)
Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Armed Security Officers to join our team in the Jackson Metro Area. This role requires a high level of professionalism and commitment to safety and security. Key Responsibilities:
Patrol assigned areas on foot or via vehicle to ensure safety and security.
Provide exceptional customer service and perform general security duties.
Use proper communication skills for radio and telephone interactions.
Prepare detailed daily activity reports, Incident Reports, Offense Reports, Fire Reports, etc.
Maintain appearance and equipment to meet professional standards.
Requirements:
Experience carrying a firearm is essential.
Must possess a Security Guard Permit or Concealed Carry License.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related security field.
Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
Must pass a background check and drug test.
Knowledge of security and criminal investigation methods.
Integrity, honesty, and the ability to interact effectively with the public.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to prepare and understand written materials, such as Incident Reports.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Skill in organizing multiple tasks and maintaining workflow.
Maintain professional working relationships with co-workers.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to climb, push, stand, hear, walk, reach, grasp, kneel, stoop, and perform repetitive motions.
Must have good balance and coordination.
Capable of exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently.
Requires close visual acuity for data analysis, computer use, and extensive reading.
May require physical force to resolve emergency situations.
Training and Qualifications:
Quarterly firearm qualifications and firearm safety training required.
Completion of an additional 40 hours of yearly training, including active shooter response, CPR/First Aid, de-escalation, and other relevant categories.
