Mercy Health Home Care by Compassus had a great time at the seventh annual Boomers and Beyond Senior Expo in Youngstown, Ohio!

Lauren Dado, Area Market Executive, and Dina Zidian, Home Health Care Consultant, met with seniors and caregivers throughout the day. More than 800 people attended the event, which was sponsored by The Tribune Chronicle and The Vindicator.

Guests compared home health care services, retirement communities and assisted living options. They also learned about veteran benefits and technology assistance, and received free health screenings.

"We try to do this as a one-stop shop for seniors," said Sue Shafer, Community Events Coordinator for the newspapers.

November is National Care at Home Month, and this year, the National Alliance for Care at Home's theme is "Home Is Where Care Happens."

Home is where people share meals, keep their routines and surround themselves with the people and things they love. It is also where care can be most personal.

This month, we're honoring the nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains, therapists and volunteers who bring home health, palliative care, hospice and home infusion to patients and families every day.

It's also a meaningful milestone for us as Compassus celebrates 20 years in 2026. Caring for people at home is at the heart of who we are.

Our Home Office Halloween celebration was a hoot! 🌙🦉 Some of our Brentwood-based Compassus Marketing and Communications teammates, otherwise known as the "spice girls", tied for first place in the costume contest alongside IT Technician Cody Savage, who bravely dressed up as his own leader, Senior Director of IT Services Jackson Smith.

The afternoon's festivities were a great reminder that celebrating wins and taking a moment to spend time fostering our relationships strengthens our commitment to our mission.

Twenty years of caring for patients and families where they feel most at home.

American Healthcare Leader recently featured Laura Templeton, our President and Chief Operating Officer, West. A nurse by background, Laura joined Compassus in 2012, when we served around 2,500 hospice patients in just nine states. Today, more than 10,000 Compassus teammates care for more than 180,000 patients each year across 33 states.
