Buffalo Biodiesel is a proud supporter of the Buffalo Museum of Science’s state of the art Science Stadium exhibit.

The brand new exhibit combines Buffalo’s sports history with STEM activities and education. Stations include sports medicine, motion tracking technology, adaptive sports, and other interactive activities that bridge STEM careers in sports, on and off the field.

Cooking oil theft nationally has become a big problem and there is a sophisticated and growing illegal black marketplace that is threatening the biodiesel sector.

After months of hard work and due diligence and an investment of $3 million into our operations, Buffalo Biodiesel is pleased to announce that we have received a key permit from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation that allows the company to continue to transport used cooking oil across New York State for processing at our Tonawanda facility.

By collecting and recycling used cooking oil, Buffalo Biodiesel in 2025 prevented the release of an estimated 7,975 tons of methane emissions, which is equivalent to approximately 685,850 tons of carbon dioxide or removing 149,100 passenger vehicles from roadways for one year.
