Working on computer maintenance this time of year. When's the last time you had your computer checked to make sure you have all your Windows updates, device drivers updated and junk cleared out? If you can't answer those questions, maybe it's time to have your computer looked at. I look at my computer, the same way I look at my car, once a year, I have my mechanic check out my car to make sure it's safe to drive on the roads. With so many computer scams being talked about in the news, why not have your computer checked to make sure it's safe to be on the internet?? Very reasonably priced to keep yourself safe. I'm excited about this re-vamped website - Infinite Golden Retrievers of Fombell, PA. With Windows 10 expiring in October 2026, I expect I will have quite a few new customers that have new computer needs. If you'd like to see the state of the internet, check out downdetector.com! It follows the red (big problems) yellow (intermittent problems) and green (good to go) of a stoplight. Five pages of red today. 15 pages of yellow. Bad Internet day!

You've known it for a while: Microsoft has determined that it's moving Windows 10 to "end of life" status starting on October 14. That means while Windows 10 PCs will continue to work after that date, they'll stop getting important security updates by default. That leaves you with three choices if you want to make sure your computer remains secure:

1. You can choose to upgrade to Windows 11 for free if your computer is compatible. Not sure how to do this? That's what I'm here for - call/text/email me!

2. You can buy a new PC that already has Windows 11 pre-installed (or opt for an alternative, like a Mac or a Chromebook). Not sure what new computer to buy? That's what I'm here for - call/text/email me! I'll try to find a new computer for you within YOUR budget!

3. Forget about Windows 11 right now and sign up for the Extended Security Updates (ESU), which lets you kick the can down the road for a year. Not sure how to do this? That's what I'm here for - call/text/email me!

Customer: I have two old laptops. I'm not sure what's on them? Can you check to see if there are any family pictures for me?
Me: Yes, as long as the hard drives are not physically damaged, I can do the best I can to try to pull off as many files as possible.

Cleaning out your house? Did you find an old computer or two? Would you like to know if there are files on those computers - especially irreplaceable family pictures? Ok Facebook - What have I been up to? I'm excited about this re-vamped website - Clearfield Township, Butler PA. This is new and MAY happen to you...I recently had a computer customer of mine call me to tell that they thought they had been hacked while they were online with their bank account. The bank would not permit the user to use the online banking system until they had their computer looked at by a computer professional. I can help with that! For the customer affected, I did a deep-scan of their system to find what the hacker attempted to do and remove it. I did find a remote piece software that was there and may have caused part of the problem. Unfortunately, there is NOTHING that protects you 100% from hackers these days, but I feel my computer skills can help in this situation if this happens to you!
