Our Community Service Group has been busy giving back and enjoying time together! 🎃

Casey, Carolyn, and Lisa recently volunteered at Pumpkin Glow, helping light the tea lights and adding a little extra glow to this fun fall event!

The group also enjoyed a lunch gathering and is looking forward to its first Adopt a Spot Cleanup on November 14, followed by an evening meetup at Hangar 9 on November 19.

It's wonderful to see our members connecting, giving back, and making a difference in our community!

Nearly 60 members of the SIU Women’s Club gathered Friday, Oct. 2, for the club’s annual Afternoon Tea, one of its most cherished traditions. 🌸🫖

Hosted by Mrs. Laura Mahony, First Lady of the SIU System, at the Tedrick Welcome Center, the afternoon brought members together for fellowship, conversation and connection as the SIU Women’s Club kicked off another wonderful year.

Mrs. Mahony shared an insightful update on the SIU System, highlighting the exciting progress happening across its campuses.

A special thank you to Mrs. Mahony for hosting this wonderful gathering and to the SIU Office of the President for its support. We also extend our appreciation to SIU Foundation events team members Debra Gray and Rebecca Headley for their work in creating a beautiful and memorable experience for everyone in attendance.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the event possible and to all of our members who joined us for this special tradition. It was a wonderful afternoon celebrating friendship, community and Saluki spirit!

A great afternoon with our W**ery of the Month group! 🍷

Members of the SIU Women’s Club gathered at Owl Creek Vineyard for good company, local w**e, and live music from Fiddle Rick. 🎻

Jan Radtke, Susan Pearlman, Aimee Lange, Lesley Shawler, and fellow club members enjoyed relaxing, connecting, and experiencing another local favorite together.

Our W**ery of the Month group is a fun way to explore w**eries throughout Southern Illinois while building friendships along the way.

Our Suitcase Sisters are on the move! ✈️🌍

Four members of our Suitcase Sisters explored Jordan and Egypt this September.

Their adventures took them to Amman, Petra, the Dead Sea (including the famous mud!), Cairo, the Step Pyramid, Abu Simbel, and many incredible temples along the way. 🧳

Love to travel or simply love talking about it? Join the Suitcase Sisters on the first Wednesday of each month to share experiences and discuss local, regional, and international adventures.

And the Suitcase Sisters are just one of the many Interest Groups available to SIU Women’s Club members. There’s something for everyone!

Our W**ery of the Month group visited Hickory Ridge Vineyard.🍷

After learning the owners are retiring and the w**ery will close at the end of the fall season, they had to make one more visit to this local favorite.

The Meet n’ Eat group enjoyed a wonderful June Meet n’ Eat at Seasoning Bistro in Marion. With great food, plenty of laughter, and a private dining space all to ourselves, it was an afternoon well spent among friends.
