ImpactCR is all about helping community members Connect, Engage, Grow and Give Back—and Market After Dark is a great opportunity to put those values into action.

Join fellow ImpactCR participants and community-minded volunteers at Market After Dark on Saturday, August 29, and help check IDs from 7:30–10 p.m. It’s a simple but important role that supports one of Cedar Rapids’ signature events while giving you a chance to connect with others and give back to the community.

A BIG THANK YOU to Mayor Nick AbouAssaly, Sydney Rieckhoff, and Marty Lenss for spending their lunch hour with 70 of our local professionals diving deep into the topic of “Leading Through Adversity.”

One theme really stood out among these leaders: relationships and authentic connections are key to success.

Marty shared some great stories that perfectly exemplified the idea that we should “let mistakes be a teacher, not an undertaker.” There is so much value in learning from our challenges rather than letting them define us. We are incredibly grateful for their time, vulnerability, and continued commitment to investing in our community and its future leaders!
