Completing state permitting changed the conversation.
With the Mine Operating Permit and air quality permit secured and access road construction already underway, U.S. Gold Corp (NASDAQ: USAU) has drawn interest from development capital providers and potential M&A counterparties. The board has formed a Special Committee and appointed financial advisors to weigh joint ventures, asset-level deals and corporate transactions against building CK Gold independently.
The March 2026 Feasibility Study puts the after-tax NPV at $632 million with a 27% IRR and 2.5-year payback, based on $3,250/oz gold and $4.50/lb copper. At recent spot gold near $4,500/oz, that NPV rises to roughly $1.37 billion and payback compresses to 1.6 years.
With about 16.5 million shares outstanding, per-share exposure to that value is unusually concentrated.
A final construction decision is targeted for the second half of 2026. Strategic discussions carry no guarantee of a completed transaction.
