Today we're proud to feature our solar installation at the Academy for Global Citizenship (AGC) on the Southwest Side. AGC’s campus is built to LEED Platinum and Living Building Challenge standards, making it one of the absolute greenest, most forward-thinking educational facilities in the entire country.

Here is how this setup works:

3 Part Solar Design: Our unique 521 kW solar project consists of three sections: Rooftop, Bike Rack, and Groundmount. It works in tandem with 50 geothermal wells deep underground to handle 100% of the building’s power, heating, and cooling needs.

Net-Zero Power: This system is designed to generate more clean electricity than the campus consumes year over year.

Classroom in Action: The kids here aren't just learning about renewable energy in science class—they’re walking under it every single day (alongside an urban farm, orchards, and even goats!).

While the students head home for the weekend, these panels are officially on duty. Have a great weekend, Chicago—soak up the sunshine!

Throwing it back to one of our favorite local projects!

A few years ago, we had the privilege of completing a 157 kW Solar PV installation for Burr Ridge middle school. Our system is doing what it does best, turning bright Illinois sunshine into clean power for the school.

It’s great to see our work stand the test of time and we’re proud that our panels are still hard at work keeping the lights on and the future green.

Our team installed clean energy on UChicago’s High Bay Research Building—a 20,000-square-foot facility dedicated to cutting-edge physical sciences research, heavy scientific instrumentation, and large-scale device fabrication.

This project marks a major milestone for us: UChicago is the 3rd major university campus in Chicago we’ve had the privilege to power with solar, joining DePaul University and University of Illinois Chicago!
