“The Yellow Rose & Other Western Stories”
Lithographs by Eric Wilson
Friday, September 18th, 6-9pm
At Hoofprint Editions
3413 S. Morgan St, Chicago, IL
On display through November 7th

Hoofprint is pleased to present Eric Wilson: “The Yellow Rose & Other Western Stories.” Inspired by the American West, Wilson challenges the narratives we’ve been told. Come explore a series of recent lithographs, including a new, collaborative effort, hot off the press. Join us at the opening reception for beverages, snacks, and a live lithography demonstration.

Eric Wilson is an artist, printmaker and educator based in Chicago IL. Working primarily in traditional lithography, his work also takes on three-dimensional forms. He is largely inspired by his time living in the Southwest. Wilson teaches printmaking at Harold Washington College and is the founder of T-Bar Ranch, a manufacturer of litho drawing materials.

“Yellow Rose” will coincide with Bridgeport Artist Community Third Friday Artwalk. Follow them for info about other shows in the neighborhood!

About the show:

Hoofprint is pleased to present “F**k Days,” an exhibition of new drawings, ceramics, and silkscreen prints by Mony Kaos. Self-taught and raised in Chicago’s Ukrainian Village/West Town neighborhood, Mony has a fondness for subversive art and s**t. When not drawing, they like to enjoy time with Toody the cat, and a dog, Milo.

“F**k Days is an exhibit of chaos by your local punk pervert fag. Dom Orejudos (Etienne), Johnny Thunders, sandy lion stickers, secondhand p**n, Takahashi, The Searcher: an homage to fi***ng and BDSM—these small pleasures are sacred, to feel grounded in our dystopian society.

F**k days. F**k the USA.”

F**K DAYS is on display through December 20th.
Gallery hours: Saturdays, noon-5pm and by appointment.
