A new system doesn't change behavior on its own.

The organizations that see real outcomes from ERP build the skills and workflows their people need to operate in a fundamentally different way, not just train them on new software.

Hear from Kristen Colella, Managing Director, Strategy and Innovation at Huron, on what separates implementations that stick from ones that stall.

“Healthcare organizations may perform well independently, but intentional integration is what unlocks the full value of M&A.”

That's the perspective of Brenda Grill, Managing Director, who shares why successful healthcare integrations require more than combining two organizations.

By first establishing the right operating model across shared services, healthcare leaders can bring together the best of both organizations to create a stronger enterprise and unlock long-term value beyond cost synergies.

The conference may be over, but our conversations are just getting started.

Last week, global healthcare leaders came together at What’s Right in Health Care® to exchange ideas, challenge perspectives, and learn from others navigating many of the same opportunities and complexities, from access and accountability to AI, workforce capacity, revenue cycle, and more.

Across every session and conversation, one thing was clear: progress happens when we learn from one another.

Thank you to everyone who shared their experiences, asked thoughtful questions, and brought new energy to the conversations shaping what’s next for healthcare.

Your ERP went live on time, on budget, and nobody is using it.

By week six, the plant scheduler is back in his spreadsheet. The shift supervisor keeps their decade-old workbook. No one skips a training session.

The real work just never moves into the new system.

ERP programs rarely collapse at launch. They erode in the months after, when the support ends and the workarounds win.

Huron's Bianka Shah and Jessica Noble break down why change management is the highest-leverage tool in an ERP program, and how to close the gap between go-live and adoption.

When uncertainty rises, your mission keeps your steady.

For Mark Cianca, Principal, resilience starts with never losing sight of each institution’s purpose.

"The mission is the North Star,” Mark said.

Every decision, from investments in technology to academic programs and operations, should strengthen an institution's ability to deliver on that mission for students, faculty, employees, and the communities that rely on them.

The institutions that emerge stronger aren't simply responding to change. They’re making bold, mission-driven choices that preserve what makes them essential while preparing them to serve the next generation.

At Huron, that’s the work we show up for: helping institutions protect their mission while building what’s next.

Greg Pitstick, Managing Director, has watched modernization plans assume AI simply runs through the ERP. It doesn't.

Agents act inside it, a semantic layer harmonizes data around it, and a coordination layer above it directs action across CRM, WMS, MES, and EPM. Your ERP is one system of action among several, and the governed one at the center.

That architecture change what bad data costs you. A wrong number used to produce a misleading report that someone caught. Now it produces an action nobody reviewed.

After months of intense work by dozens of professionals across multiple disciplines, the FAT Brands and Twin Hospitality Chapter 11 cases reached a major milestone with the Joint Plan becoming effective on July 31, 2026, six months after the Chapter 11 filing on January 26, 2026. As Chief Restructuring Officer and financial advisor, Huron Consulting Group was honored to help lead one of the most complex restaurant sector restructurings in recent years. The process involved more than 180 debtors, approximately $1.4+ billion of funded debt, multiple whole-business securitization structures, and a broad portfolio of nationally recognized restaurant brands. The successful completion of the transactions preserved enterprise value, facilitated the transition of assets to new ownership, and positioned the brands for future success.

The outcome reflects the power of a disciplined, stakeholder-focused restructuring process. Through a combination of operational stabilization, liquidity management, negotiated settlements, court-approved sale transactions, and a comprehensive chapter 11 plan, the case moved from a highly complex capital structure challenge to an effective and implementable path forward. These efforts enabled the transfer of several iconic restaurant brands to well-capitalized owners, maintaining jobs, while creating a framework to maximize recoveries and conclude the restructuring in an orderly manner.

Congratulations to the buyers, lenders, creditors, management teams, advisors, and legal professionals whose commitment and collaboration made this result possible. Special recognition goes to the many restructuring, finance, operations, legal, and investment banking professionals who worked tirelessly throughout the process. These cases demonstrated that even the most challenging situations can achieve successful outcomes when stakeholders remain focused on preserving value, maintaining operations, and executing with discipline. We are grateful for the opportunity to have partnered with so many outstanding professionals and wish the new owners continued success as they lead these brands into their next chapter.
