When future CEOs ask him what matters most, Reiner Wiederkehr - CEO of Fracht North & Central America - doesn’t talk about titles or shortcuts. He talks about transparency. About doing the work, saying yes to side projects, earning trust, and building teams filled with people who are smarter than you.

In this moment from our conversation, he lays out a grounded, human roadmap for anyone who wants to lead with clarity and conviction.

The new CEO Series episode is live now. Watch the full conversation with host Lain Hensley on You Go First.

AI is accelerating so fast that many people are quietly asking a question they’ve never said out loud:

“If a robot can do my job… do I still matter?”

That question is reshaping workplaces everywhere. Not because AI is “bad,” but because efficiency is starting to outrun humanity, and the emotional cost is real.

The truth is this: Human skills vs AI isn’t a competition. It’s a crossroads.

Leadership. Empathy. Creativity. Teamwork. Purpose.

These aren’t “soft skills.” They’re the skills that keep us human, and they’re becoming more valuable, not less.

In our rush to automate, we can’t afford to lose the very things that make work meaningful.

Lain Hensley wrote about this tension and why the future still belongs to us in a new article for Odyssey Teams.

If you’re navigating AI, leading teams, or simply wondering where humans fit in the future of work, this one’s worth your time.

If you’ve ever wondered what real, measurable purpose at work looks like… this is it.

We’re celebrating more than 90,000 prosthetic hands built and donated, a number made possible by thousands of teams choosing to make a real difference together. And behind every one of those hands is a person stepping back into their life with a little more confidence and a lot more possibility.

The new blog dives into the global impact, the human stories, and the teams who chose to build something meaningful together.

Odyssey Teams has now built and donated more than 90,000 prosthetic hands through the impact‑driven Build‑a‑Hand team building program. Behind every hand is a story — of dignity restored, futures rewritten, and teams choosing purpose over routine. As we approach the 100,000‑hand milestone,...

Empathy isn’t soft. It’s a strategy.

Teams that know how to connect, listen, and lead with emotion are outperforming everyone else, and the data is catching up.

We just published a new blog on why empathy is becoming the real competitive advantage in today’s workplace.

We recently partnered with a team in South Dakota to deliver a Life Cycles team building experience, and we’re excited to see the story picked up by KOTA!

Watch the coverage: https://www.kotatv.com/video/2026/04/29/society-technology-education-builds-bikes-kids-during-spring-conference-deadwood/

What unfolded in that room went far beyond building bikes, as teams stepped into a shared challenge, worked together in real time, and ultimately experienced the moment that defines Life Cycles when the kids walked in and the purpose behind their teamwork became unmistakably clear.

Huge thanks to KOTA for shining a light on this experience, and to the program participants for showing up with such heart.

A simple act of building a bike can ripple far beyond the workshop. Together, we’re not just building bikes. We’re building possibility.

The completed bikes were presented to local children from the Lead-Deadwood school district, who were waiting in another room, and did not know they were receiving them.

Most team building looks familiar: a few games, a few laughs, a quick reset.

But when a team builds something that leaves the room and makes a real difference for someone else, it hits differently.

That’s what makes the Build a Hand experience stick and why organizations return to it year after year. It is powered by the original Build a Hand team, trusted by organizations worldwide to turn impact into culture.

This is why Build a Hand is chosen not as a one‑time activity, but as a defining moment for teams.

POV: The future is kinder than we think. These two built a prosthetic hand as their service project, not a team building event, just pure compassion and curiosity. The smiles say everything.

Building a bike is fun. Building a bike for a child in need is transformative. 🚲✨

As we head into the rest of 2026, "fun" isn’t enough. Modern teams, especially Gen Z and Millennials, are looking for Values Alignment. They don’t just want a retreat; they want a mission.

Philanthropic Team Building is the bridge between professional development and global impact. Here’s why it’s the most effective solution for long-term cultural transformation:

📈 Real ROI: Companies see a 40% higher "stickiness" in behavioral change compared to non-charitable programs.
🤝 Breaking Silos: High-stakes altruistic goals require true cross-departmental cooperation.
💎 Retention: 77% of employees find more meaning in their work when their company provides social impact opportunities.

Whether it’s assembling prosthetic hands for landmine victims through the Build-a-Hand program or building bicycles for local youth, these experiences challenge teams to solve complex problems while practicing humanity.

Leadership in 2026 isn't just about transactional management; it’s about transformational experiences.

Ready to move beyond the superficial and invest in your company’s soul? Let’s build something that leaves a legacy.
