📉 We started our first business with negative net worth. Some years since have felt pretty flat.

🧭 But flat compared to negative is still farther along, we just weren't measuring it that way. We were measuring against a finish line nobody actually drew on purpose.

Our attorney stopped us mid-meeting and asked:

“Are you paying yourselves what you’re really worth?”

We hung our heads in shame.

We weren’t even paying ourselves minimum wage.

The business looked successful.
But it was quietly consuming us.
