🚨 New Technology Helping Keep Our Responders and Roads Safer 🚨
The Cobleskill Fire Department & Rescue Squad is proud to announce the deployment of HAAS Alert's Safety Cloud®, a cutting-edge digital alerting system that provides real-time warnings to motorists when emergency vehicles are responding to calls or operating at incident scenes. This important safety enhancement was made possible through the generous support of Cobleskill Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.
This technology helps give drivers extra time to slow down, move over, and react safely, reducing the risk of collisions and helping protect emergency responders working along our roadways.
Safety Cloud helps bridge that gap by delivering alerts directly to drivers through multiple platforms:
Navigation Apps: Regardless of vehicle make or model, drivers using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto can receive alerts through Apple Maps and Waze directly on their vehicle's infotainment screen.
Vehicle Dashboards: Built-in digital alerts are available in 2018 and newer Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and RAM vehicles, as well as 2024 and newer Volkswagen models.
Commercial Transportation Networks: Fleetworthy, a leading safety and compliance platform used by approximately one-third of the commercial trucking industry in the United States, delivers alerts to drivers up to two miles before they encounter emergency apparatus, providing additional time to slow down and move over safely.
