This week's email and blog post were a little meta.

The topic is websites and we also just launched ours. I told the honest version of how long it actually took us to get here, including the part where I, someone who does this for clients, let our own site sit untouched for way too long.

The cobbler's kids really do have no shoes sometimes.

If you've been feeling the gap between where your business is and what your website is saying about it, that's exactly what this week is about.

I got to sit down with CanvasRebel again, and I love how this one turned out. We talked about what it actually looks like to build a business that runs on systems instead of scrambling, and why I went all in on being the person who fixes what's broken behind the scenes.

Website tip: read your homepage like a stranger would.

Not like someone who already knows you, knows your services, and has heard you talk about your work. Like someone who just got referred to you and landed on your site cold.

Can they tell within ten seconds what you do, who it's for, and what to do next?
If the answer is no, or even maybe, that's the first thing worth fixing. Everything else on the page is secondary.

Your homepage has one job: make it immediately obvious what you do and how someone works with you.

If a new visitor lands there and has to dig around to figure it out, the site isn't doing its job, and that's costing you.

We put together the Homepage Happiness Blueprint as a free resource this month. It's a practical walkthrough of what your homepage actually needs and where most service-based websites quietly fall short.

Here's something I don't think I've ever said out loud:
For years, every time I worked with a client, I'd make them something. A tech stack checklist. A delegation guide. A workflow map. Things that weren't part of the official scope but felt necessary because the client needed something to hold onto after we were done.

I kept building them, kept refining them, kept handing them off one at a time.

The new website finally has all of it in one place. Right now there are 5 resources up, free to download, and I'm releasing a new one every month until we hit 12. So if you grab one today, there's more coming - so check back!

Go check them out: https://www.simplifysimplify.me/free-resources

It's FINALLY live.

After years of building backend systems for clients, we finally have a home that actually looks like what we do. We've had so many different websites, but this one actually feels right.

There's a lot waiting for you there: services, case studies, and something we're especially excited about: a full library of free resources.

For years, we've been creating guides, workbooks, and tools for our clients. Audits. Delegation frameworks. Workflow maps. Things we built because our clients needed them, kept refining because they worked, and now?

They're finally all in one place, polished up, and available to anyone who needs them.

I named this business Simplify, Simplify after Henry David Thoreau’s Walden.

So standing at Walden Pond on Mother’s Day felt like coming full circle. I’ve been a bunch of times before, but it had been a while.

Thoreau didn’t go to the woods to escape. He went to strip away everything unnecessary so he could actually see what mattered.
That’s still the whole point. Not minimalism for its own sake, just: what’s actually essential, and what’s just noise?

We help business owners figure out which is which – and build systems around what’s left.

The stuff you keep putting off? Yeah… that’s where the magic usually is.
Having the right support doesn’t just get things done—it helps you make the decisions you’ve been avoiding and actually move forward.
