Earlier this month I had the amazing opportunity to participate in mock interviews with EXP - The opportunity engine.

The students did an amazing job - they had so much to share.

It reminded me that our experiences are our ultimate differentiator and how quickly the student becomes the teacher.

One of the biggest highlights of facilitating at the Skirball Cultural Center was the opportunity to listen to the brilliant Rafael Agustin share his journey and his experience writing his book Illegally Yours.

His story was powerful, honest, and deeply resonant on many levels. It created a space that invited reflection not just on narrative and identity, but on what it means to truly see one another in our shared humanity.

What stayed with me most was something he said so simply, yet so profoundly:

“We have forgotten that we all belong to each other.”

That statement lingered long after the session ended.

In the work I do—centered on human behavior, management, and organizational culture—this speaks volumes. It challenges how we lead, how we build systems, and how we show up for people in the workplace.

Because when we forget our shared belonging, we default to hierarchy over humanity, efficiency over empathy, and process over connection.

But when we remember it, everything shifts.

Grateful for the experience, the space, and the reminder of what it means to stay human-centered in all that we do.

Look what just arrived! I had the honor of listening to Rafa Agustin share his story while at the Skirball Cultural Center last month. It was an emotional day for me because it was also the day I facilitated my first neuroscience backed training workshop 100% in Spanish - a dream and full circle moment for me. I say this as 🧊 infiltrates my neighborhood this week. It's important to capture reality. Thank you you've inspired me.
