Today, we’re sharing the story of Jennifer, who is currently living with end stage kidney failure caused by Lupus Nephritis. While her lupus is under control, her kidney disease has progressed to Stage 5, and she is in need of a kidney transplant.

Jennifer is a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend who has faced every challenge with remarkable strength, grace, and positivity. Her resilience continues to inspire those around her.

This fall, Riley Children’s Health will open Indiana’s first Pediatric Medical-Behavioral Health Unit, one of the first programs of its kind in the country.

For children who need both medical care and behavioral health support, this new unit will provide specialized treatment in one safe, welcoming environment. It’s an important step toward ensuring young patients and their families can access the comprehensive care they need when they need it most.

There has been a lot of discussion about possible changes to Indiana’s Medicaid Waiver rules. While the final review date has passed, we have not seen confirmation that the concerns discussed have resulted in changes to the current law. Because this is an evolving issue, we encourage families to follow trusted sources for the most accurate updates.
