More flexibility for high-power AI and HPC rack design.

Advanced Energy has expanded its 33 kW ORv3 High-Power Rack (HPR) power shelf with new single-whip AC input options, providing one AC connection per shelf and a choice of left- or right-side input configurations.

The new options give engineers greater flexibility to accommodate AC distribution, cable routing, and rack layout requirements. Each 1OU shelf delivers up to 33 kW, while multiple shelves can operate in parallel to support racks requiring 100 kW or more.

AI is driving changes in how power is distributed in data centers.

As rack densities rise into hundreds of kilowatts, traditional 50 VDC architectures require increasingly high currents, larger conductors and more complex power delivery.

Advanced Energy will take the stage at the OCP Global Summit on Thursday, October 15, with three sessions focused on the future of rack and power architecture for AI and high-density compute.

Harry Soin, Senior Technical Marketing Director at Advanced Energy, will join industry experts to open the Rack and Power track with an update on current projects and roadmaps, before exploring next-generation ORv3 power architectures for higher-power AI workloads.

Later in the day, Harry will be joined by Andy Brown, Marketing Director at Advanced Energy, for a deeper look at 800 V direct-to-server and power shelf solutions, including the design challenges involved in moving toward HVDC infrastructure.

Advanced Energy recently celebrated the official opening of its new Global Capability Center in Pune, India. The inauguration marked an important milestone in the company's continued growth and expansion of global capabilities.

The Pune center serves as a shared-services hub supporting global development roles across Advanced Energy. It strengthens collaboration across regions and time zones, enabling employees in India to work closely with colleagues worldwide.

Advanced Energy leaders joined members from across India in Pune for the inauguration, which included leadership remarks, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, and a cake-cutting celebration. The event celebrated the people, partnerships, and teamwork that made this milestone possible.
