Did you know pure silicon crystals (like the ones you see here) are almost never found naturally on Earth? Silicon is found bonded to oxygen in materials like sand and quartz and must be separated and refined to an extremely high purity before it can be used in our advanced manufacturing processes. 🪨⌛
