With Halloween upon us, we’re reminded of the 2022 incident at a haunted-house attraction in Columbia Station, Ohio, where 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐱 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝: one convicted of ra**ng children aged 7 and 11, another convicted of s*xual misconduct with a 15-year-old.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐬, and only after a former staff member came forward were the offenders dismissed and screening policies changed.
