Position Summary
We’re hiring an Environmental Compliance Technician to join our field services team. This role involves conducting inspections and testing of petroleum storage systems, as well as working on solar, EV, and infrastructure-related assessments as we grow into adjacent verticals.
This is a field-based position ideal for driven individuals—especially veterans—who enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and working independently. Candidates must be based in the Midwest and comfortable with regional travel.
Key Responsibilities
-Conduct compliance inspections and testing on petroleum storage tank systems
-Support field assessments for solar installations, EV chargers, and facility infrastructure
-Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members
-Operate and maintain a company vehicle (must be able to store it at your residence)
-Lift and maneuver equipment:
-25–50 lbs (solo)
-75–100 lbs (team lift)
-Use hand tools and tablets to complete field service tasks and document results
-Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
-Adhere to safety protocols and company standards
-Maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
-Military service (strongly preferred)
-Mechanical aptitude or basic plumbing knowledge
-Comfortable using mobile technology and reporting tools
-The following certifications are preferred and qualify for sign-on bonuses and higher starting pay:
-UST/ICC Certifications (Installation Retrofit, Tank Tester, CP Tester)
-Tank & Line Testing Certifications
-OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER
