This wasn’t quite what we were expecting during today’s inspection… but here we are.

An eastern milk snake decided to make a basement visit, hanging out along the sill plate like it owned the place.

Fun fact: snakes work better than a cup of coffee when it comes to waking you up during an inspection.

Eastern milk snakes are nonvenomous and are often following a food source, such as mice or other small animals. The best way to prevent interior snake sightings is not just relocating the snake. It is controlling the food source, sealing entry points, and making the property less inviting through exclusion and habitat modification.

Taking pest control to new heights! 🐿️🏠

Sometimes the source of a wildlife issue is not obvious from the ground. A quick roof inspection can reveal openings that would otherwise be missed.

On this job, a squirrel family made themselves right at home inside the ridge vent of the roof. Our plan was simple but effective: remove any interior squirrels, install a one-way door, and then repair the ridge vent once activity is cleared.

That means a successful eviction, long-term prevention, and in this case, stopping one serious leak.

It’s official! 🐝

What may look like a beautiful open field today is actually the future home of County Pest’s Apiary.

This new space gives us room to grow our bee rescue and relocation efforts, expand our apiary, and build something truly special for the future. Down the road, we hope this field becomes more than just a place for hives. We see educational sessions, honey tastings, support for local beekeepers, and a deeper connection between our community and the pollinators that help keep it thriving.

What looks like an empty field today is really a place full of possibility, expansion, and growth.

We’ve always believed pest control should be about more than just removing the “bad bugs.” It should also be about protecting the good ones.
