The Clatsop Small Business Development Center and CEDR plays a vital role in empowering small business owners in Northwest Oregon by providing trusted, confidential guidance from startup through growth.

Through no-cost one-on-one advising, specialized workshops, and advanced business programs, the Clatsop SBDC advised 212 clients, helped small businesses create 31 new jobs in local communities, and assisted 17 new businesses in launching.

This week’s Center spotlight goes to the business advisers at the Lane Small Business Development Center for their impact on the local business community.

Through expert advising and practical training, from the Business Plan Accelerator to SHRM CP/SCP Certification Test Prep, the Lane SBDC advised 572 clients, helped create 108 new jobs and launch 14 new businesses, and provided assistance in obtaining $1,965,328 in capital for local small businesses in 2025.
