As The Dalles’ only brewery and taproom, Freebridge Brewing has become more than a local dining destination; it’s a community cornerstone supporting local causes, downtown revitalization, and fellow small businesses.

When operational challenges and the pandemic threatened growth, the Columbia Gorge SBDC stepped in with one-on-one advising and capital access support. Through the Restaurant Small Business Management program, owner Steve Light refined his business strategy, secured critical funding, and developed a vision for a new purpose-built location on Main Street.

Today, Freebridge Brewery is helping to shape the future of downtown The Dalles while continuing to create a welcoming space for locals and visitors alike.
