Fairbanks friends — I’m honored to share that I’ll be speaking at the Fairbanks Wellness Coalition’s 7th Annual Resiliency Conference!

🗓 Tuesday, May 12
⏰ 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

I’ll be leading: The Peace Index: A Practical Framework for Building Personal Resilience and Collective Wellness

Life gets loud. Stress builds. Burnout, conflict, disconnection, and unhealthy coping often start long before people realize they’re struggling.

This session is about learning how to recognize internal pressure early, restore alignment, and build real resilience before crisis hits.

We’ll talk about practical tools that can help strengthen:
✅ Personal resilience
✅ Communication
✅ Relationships
✅ Families
✅ Teams
✅ Community wellness

If you care about prevention, wellness, leadership, or simply becoming healthier from the inside out, I’d love to see you there.

Resilience isn’t just about surviving hard things—it’s about building healthier people and stronger communities before things fall apart.

Hope to see some familiar faces there. Let’s grow together.

This session introduces the Peace Index, a practical, real-world framework that helps individuals identify internal pressure early—before it turns into burnout, conflict, substance misuse, or isolation. Instead of focusing on managing breakdowns, participants will learn how to catch misalignment in real time and take simple, intentional action to restore clarity and control.

The Peace Index also provides a shared language that works across roles and systems, helping teams, families, and communities move from disconnection to alignment. If we want healthier systems, we have to start with healthier individuals. Participants will leave equipped with practical strategies they can use right away to strengthen resilience, improve communication, and contribute to a more connected and proactive community.

This session will take place on Tuesday 5/12 from 11:00-12:00!

Who are you becoming?

Take a moment and think of the words you would want the people closest to you to use when describing you.

Not your résumé.
Not your title.
Not your accomplishments.

You.

Maybe words like:

Calm.
Steady.
Disciplined.
Courageous.
Reliable.
Patient.
Grounded.
Wise.
Resilient.
Trustworthy.
Protective.
Honorable.
Kind.

Now here’s the hard truth:

Nobody becomes those things accidentally.

Character is built intentionally—especially when life gets chaotic, stressful, unfair, or uncertain.

The pressure of life doesn’t create who we are.
It reveals who we’ve been training to become.

Pick 3–5 words that describe the man or leader you want to be.

Start your day with them:
“I am calm. I am disciplined. I am steady.”

End your day with reflection:
“Was I those things today?”
“What would the people around me say?”
“Where can I improve tomorrow?”

Growth rarely happens through drifting.
It happens through awareness, ownership, and intentional practice.

So here’s the reflection challenge:

What are the 3 words you want your family, team, or closest friends to use when they describe you?

Titles can open doors.
But titles alone don’t make people want to follow you.

I’ve watched people chase promotions like they’re golden tickets:

“If I can just become VP…”
“If I finally get that corner office…”

As if position automatically creates respect.

Here’s what reality keeps proving:

Position may get you compliance.
Influence earns you commitment.

Your team doesn’t measure your leadership by what’s on your business card.
They measure it by how you show up when things get hard.

They notice:

• How you handle pressure
• Who you protect when things go sideways
• Whether you communicate clearly or hide behind authority
• If you consistently follow through

Authority can force short-term movement.
Influence builds long-term trust.

And if your leadership disappears the moment your title does…
Was it leadership? Or was it leverage?

Real leadership isn’t rooted in the org chart.
It’s built through trust, clarity, consistency, and care.

So here’s the challenge:
If your title vanished tomorrow, would people still choose to follow you?

Lead in a way that makes the answer obvious.
