In memory of Anna/Mrs. C:
You were a mother to all—funny, loving, generous, and full of a warmth that touched everyone blessed enough to know you.
Today, we pay tribute to an incredible woman who was so many things to so many people—an aunt, a mother, a sister, a matriarch, a comare, a friend, and a beloved benefactor to all. You gave love freely, opened your heart to everyone, and left an imprint on our lives that can never be erased. You touched so many lives in our community and outside of it.
You taught us that relationships and doing the right thing are what matter. You taught us to always strive for 5 stars in everything we do; to always move the bar just a little higher to leave something better than the way you found it; to not give up because something good is coming just around the corner; to never leave anyone behind because you don’t want to be left behind; and to always be grateful for what you have. Even when you want more, remember that someone else has less.
You may have left this world for a better one, but your legacy lives on through all of us. We will carry your love, your laughter, your kindness, your cooking, and the lessons you taught us wherever we go.
We love you, Mrs. C, and we miss every day more than words can ever express… (and especially the sound of your high heels clicking across the w**ery floor.)
