CVU Land Management is proud to be managing the SWPPP at Progress Pointe in Ste. Genevieve! 🌱🚧

Our crew has been on site this week installing silt fence, putting erosion control measures in place as work gets underway.

For me, this project is especially meaningful. Ste. Genevieve is my hometown, and having the opportunity to bring our work back to the community that helped shape me is something I take a lot of pride in.

Grateful for the trust placed in CVU and proud of the hardworking crew making it happen. Our boots are on the ground, and we’re excited to be part of this new chapter for my hometown! 🤎

It might not be part of our normal work lineup, but the crew enjoyed a little change of scenery!

This residential project included trimming and removing tree limbs, removing rotted deck boards, digging out beneath the deck, and extending the gutter drains that were causing erosion along the side yard. The crew also graded the backyard to create a more manageable slope for the customer.

Not pictured: the disturbed areas were finished with seed and straw.

No matter the project, the CVU crew is always ready to roll up their sleeves and get the job done!

But they know I adore each and every one of them 😅

Construction sites are never “one and done.” Erosion control is a constant process that changes as the site changes.

As vegetation is cleared for new development, hillsides naturally become more vulnerable to runoff. During heavy rains, that water can carry soil, debris, and sediment downhill, washing out yards, clogging storm drains, and in this case, even reaching the pickleball court.

Our crew removed retired BMPs, regraded the affected areas, installed new straw wattles, straw mats, silt fence, and inlet protection, then finished by power washing the pickleball court to restore the area. It’s all part of staying ahead of the next storm and protecting the surrounding community. 🌱

Like most business owners, we do our best to invest in the best. The best tools, vehicles, trailers, and equipment we can provide. But what means the most to me isn’t the equipment itself. It’s having people on my team who see the investment, understand the mission, and choose to take ownership right alongside me.

I bought this skid steer in February, and thanks to the pride my operator takes in their work, it still looks nearly brand new. It’s greased, the fluids are checked and changed, and it’s cleaned up at the end of every day. Equipment can always be replaced. Character, respect, and people who treat your business like it’s their own are much harder to find. For that, I’m incredibly grateful.

CVU has been in full throttle mode lately, which means one thing… we’re leveling up. New assets, bigger capability, and more muscle behind the mission.

Big appreciation to Craig and Tyler at CAT Fabick in Fenton. Quality work built on passion deserves equipment that works just as hard. 💪🚜
