Independence is a business model. It's not a business strategy.

And before somebody gets in their feelings, this isn't about whether you work in a salon, rent a suite, work from home, or travel to clients.

It's about how you operate.

If your business depends on you remembering everything, answering messages around the clock, and figuring things out as you go, you might have more control over your work but do you really have more freedom?

This NO-vember, we're challenging the habits that keep beauty professionals busy without necessarily moving them forward.

Your turn: What's ONE thing independent beauty professionals need to do better to run a more successful business?

Drop it in the comments. Let's have a real conversation.

Comment with your take.

Your products didn’t drive themselves to the store. And with diesel prices reaching record highs, we’re all paying for the trip.

Higher fuel and transportation costs don’t stop at the gas pump. They show up in product prices, delivery fees, and the everyday essentials your beauty business need to operate.

Knowing your numbers and making the necessary adjustments is the only way for your beauty business to survive.

Now here's the question we must all ask ourselves as beautyprenuers. Is it time to raise my prices?

Let's talk about it in the comments.

Myth: Cosmetology school is an "easy" backup plan.

Reality: It requires strong technical skills, artistic creativity, physical stamina, and a deep understanding of chemistry, hygiene, and client communication.

The customers said "the Black nail techs do great work but take 2 hours too long."

How long does it take you to do a set?
