We naturally gravitate toward comfort. It’s human nature. But if you want to change who you are, you must be willing to challenge yourself with things you’ve never done before.

What are you willing to change?

• Want to play college football?
Look at the athletes who are already there, and match their work ethic.

• No time to work out in the afternoon? Wake up early and get it done in the morning.

• Need to catch up on sleep? Put down the phone, turn off the TV, and go to bed.

If you want to be uncommon, you have to be willing to do uncommon things.

The bottom line is simple: If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you

POV: It’s been 10 years since your mom watched you kick

“Time flies.” We hear it so often it loses its meaning—until you look back.

As a player, you’re focused on the next kick, practice, game. But for your parents? They were focusing on you. They saw the early morning lifts, the missed hangouts, the travel, the extra reps, the hard work, and the growth that happened between seasons.

What was once a daily rhythm is now a quiet memory. Value the turf under your feet and the people in the stands. Give them a hug. Say thank you. Because while the game ends, that support never does

“What’s the difference between “Working Out” and “Training”?”

Let’s train the mental side of kicking

Distractions, pressure, or watching and applying; these are just a few of the ways to developing that mental strength as a kicker

When we are asked to do our job in different environments (practice vs games), we are still asked to produce the same results. If you can train your mind in those situations, when opportunities such as game winners or field position battles present themselves you can thrive in those moments

The difference between those that are “good” and those that are “great” is a strong mind
