Growing up, I was underweight.
No athletic pedigree.
No “great genetics.”
Neither parent played sports.

So if I wanted to play football… run track… and eventually become a champion bodybuilder I had to close the gap.

It was uphill.

Not because I was a victim.
But because I had to take responsibility.

I found mentors.
I found better environments.
I studied.
I worked harder.
I caught up and then I surpassed.

The same principle applies to fat loss.

If your parents are overweight, there’s about a 70%+ chance you’ll struggle too, largely because of environment and learned behaviors.
Maybe your hunger signals are louder.
Maybe food was comfort growing up.
Maybe portions were normal… but oversized.

Still, it’s your responsibility.

You are not a victim of an “obesity gene.”
You are an able-bodied, strong-minded adult capable of discipline, structure, and growth.

But here’s the truth most won’t say:

Confused with what the heck the difference is between ml’s, mg’s and IU’s⁉️

When I started taking peptides I sure was. Here’s some clarity on this

mg (milligrams) = the weight of the substance
mL (milliliters) = the amount of liquid volume
Units / IU (International Units) = the biological strength or activity of certain compounds like growth hormone, insulin, or HCG

Think of it this way:
⚖️mg tells you how heavy the ingredient is
💉mL tells you how much liquid is in the syringe
💪IU / Units tells you how powerful the dose is

Because different compounds have different potencies, 1 IU of one medication is not equal to 1 IU of another, which is why proper mixing and dosing instructions always matter.

Medals tarnish. Plaques collect dust. Trophys fall apart. Memories fade.

And in one sense, they’re right.

What they miss is this. You NEVER did it for the medal, the trophy, or praise.

You did it to become the person it takes the complete the journey.

God uses the pursuit to shape the man.
To refine your discipline.
To expose your weakness.
To build endurance, obedience, and faith.

The prize was never the platform 👊

It was becoming the man God could trust under pressure and stewarding that influence for His kingdom.

And that work lasts forever 🫡

I don’t hype things I haven’t lived👊

If you struggle with alcohol, you avoid the liquor store even if they sell non-alcoholic stuff on sale.

If you struggle with fidelity, you don’t go to Ho***rs no matter how “good the wings” are.

If you struggle with gambling, you don’t walk into a casino even for your buddy’s 40th birthday.

But when it comes to fat loss?
We walk into restaurants ALL the time and tell ourselves we’ll “be disciplined” or eat “healthy”

🤦🏼We think we can outsmart food scientists.
🤯We think we can control hyper-palatable foods.
👌We think we can have our cake and eat it too.

That’s delusion💯

The #1 rule of fat loss is knowing what you’re eating and how much.

Restaurants make this nearly impossible by design.

Sauces.
Oils.
Butters.
Syrups.
“Healthy” cuts prepared in the most calorie-dense ways possible.

That “healthy” almond chicken salad with a light drizzle of sauce?
➡️ Easily a full day’s calories.

That “fresh” Mediterranean salmon dish?
➡️ Two days’ worth once you count the oil-soaked broccoli and butter-herb sauce.

Restaurants exist to do one thing:
👉 Get you to eat more so you buy more.

You are not smarter than the food industry.

I’ve been in the fitness industry for over 30 years. I’ve seen it all, magic wraps that “melt” fat, gyms serving pizza, shake weights, raw-organ-only diets… all of it 🤯

Through all the nonsense, I stayed in my lane. I studied the science. I educated myself. And when the evidence changed, so did my opinions.

I even reversed course on things I once dismissed (like CrossFit) and stopped selling products I used to promote once the science didn’t hold up (like BCAAs)🫡

What I never did was tear down others to build myself up.

I built my businesses by building people, not by attacking competitors. I trusted that real results would speak louder than marketing gimmicks, so I stayed positive, focused on outcomes, and let time do the exposing.

Here’s the truth:
If your business plan relies on tearing down someone else’s product, program, or ideas… enjoy being broke.

Energy is finite. Spend it producing results for others. If you’re even halfway good at that, the results will speak for you.

At this point, I’m convinced the loudest critics are loud for one reason: 🙈They don’t have results.🙈
So they deflect, attack, and build straw men to distract from that fact.

Results don’t need defending. They introduce themselves 🫡
