If AI is going to strengthen revenue rather than create a distraction, implementation needs to remain focused. The most effective approach is to begin with a small, well-defined pilot that addresses a specific business constraint. As you implement an AI initiative, use the 3-S Test (speed, strategy, and scale) to ensure the effort improves customer value, elevates your team, and enables growth.

AI is often discussed as a technological revolution, but for business leaders, it is primarily a leadership responsibility. Technology alone does not produce growth. Growth occurs when we understand the areas in which our businesses are constrained and apply the right tools to address those constraints.

As we evaluate opportunities to apply AI, the greatest risk is a lack of clarity. New tools can appear promising, but without a clear implementation strategy, they often add complexity rather than improve performance.

Pixar Founder, Ed Catumull, along with Amy Wallace, use the example of Pixar’s creativity philosophy and success to help you foster creativity in your company. They address these important lessons from Catmull’s time at Pixar:

-- Give a good idea to a mediocre team and they will screw it up. But give a mediocre idea to a great team and they will either fix it or come up with something better.
-- It’s not the manager’s job to prevent risks. It’s the manager’s job to make it safe for others to take them.
-- The cost of preventing errors is often far greater than the cost of fixing them.
-- A company’s communication structure should not mirror its organizational structure. Everybody should be able to talk to anybody.

Accepting God’s invitation to care for our employees and their families will open doors to gospel transformation. God does not expect us to transform lives. Instead, He asks us to be stewards who prepare the way for His work to be
done. The planning and intentionality of the Caring Matrix will enable us to do just that for His glory.
